New Heat Pump Installation

Year-round residential heating and cooling planned around the building load, electrical service, indoor coil or air handler, controls and cold-weather performance.

Choose the building profile

The original equipment references remain available inside the two planning cards.

Sizing note. Square footage is only a starting point. Final equipment selection must account for the building load, insulation, windows, ductwork or distribution, electrical service, fuel, venting, piping and manufacturer requirements.

What the installation plan includes

  • Heating and cooling load review, including winter design conditions.
  • Outdoor unit, indoor coil or air-handler compatibility and refrigerant-line planning.
  • Electrical capacity, disconnects, controls, thermostat and auxiliary or backup heat strategy.
  • Airflow, condensate management, startup, charge verification and delivered-temperature checks.

Prepare an accurate estimate

Send the service address, photos of the existing equipment and data plates, the approximate conditioned area, current utility type and any comfort or operating problems. Site access and code requirements are confirmed before final equipment selection.

Match heating and cooling to the building

Cyclone installs heat pumps in Westchester, Putnam and Yonkers.

A new heat pump has to serve both heating and cooling needs. Planning therefore considers the building load in both seasons, including winter conditions, rather than selecting an outdoor unit from floor area alone. Describe the existing system, the spaces it serves and the comfort problems you want a replacement to address.

Cyclone reviews outdoor-unit placement, indoor coil or air-handler compatibility, refrigerant-line routing and the available electrical service. Ductwork, airflow, thermostat controls and an auxiliary or backup heating strategy are also part of the planning scope. Space and access constraints may differ between a single-family home and a multi-family property.

For an estimate request, send equipment photos and nameplates, approximate conditioned area and information about the current system. The site review establishes the requirements before final equipment selection. Startup planning includes airflow, condensate management, charge verification and delivered-temperature checks. The equipment references on this page illustrate project paths; they are not a substitute for matching a complete system to the building.
