When to request service
Freezer problems worth calling about early
The freezer clicks, but the compressor does not start
Ice packs the evaporator, or defrost ends before the coil is clear
Water or ice overflows the drain pan or builds up inside the cabinet
Frozen product starts to soften, or a thermostat or altered wiring keeps the compressor from running

What we check and repair
- Compressor start checks with capacitor capacitance and compressor resistance readings, and replacement with a three-in-one start assembly (capacitor, relay and overload)
- Forced-defrost checks with heater current measured, and defrost-termination probes compared by resistance against a second probe before replacement
- Evaporator drain heaters and drain hoses, with current draw verified by clamp meter
- Digital temperature controller replacement, and thermostat and control-wiring diagnosis between a remote condensing unit and the cabinet, with superheat checked once the compressor runs
- Evaporator, thermostatic expansion valve and copper line renewal, followed by startup and temperature checks
- Compressor replacement with piping adaptation, brazing and evacuation, followed by current and pressure readings
- Pressure-control adjustment and refrigerant-circuit service on dipping cabinets with remote condensing units
