A reach-in that runs warm, clicks without starting, trips the breaker, or ices up can have more than one cause at the same time. Cyclone HVACRWD Company checks the actual unit: start relay or start kit, compressor amperage and windings, evaporator and condenser fans, the thermostat or digital control, refrigerant pressures, and the cabinet itself, including door gaskets and the evaporator drain. We work on upright reach-ins, including two-door cabinets, and on undercounter and worktop refrigerators, with the condensing unit on top, below, on the side, or remote. When to request service
Signs your reach-in needs a technician
The cabinet runs warm, will not pull down to its set point, or the display keeps climbing
The compressor clicks, starts intermittently, fails to start, or trips the breaker
Ice builds up in the evaporator compartment, or water and debris stay in the evaporator pan because the drain is blocked
Fans squeal, stop, or run intermittently, or a door no longer seals or closes firmly

What we check and repair
- Start relays, thermal protectors, start kits, and starting assemblies, checked with clamp-meter amperage readings at startup and while running
- Compressor winding-to-ground testing and compressor replacement, as on a True T-23 that also received a new Ranco thermostat
- Evaporator and condenser fan motors, fan wiring and plug connections, and jammed or dry-bearing fans
- Mechanical and digital temperature controls, defrost thermostats, pressure controls, and solenoid valve coils
- Leak search with an electronic detector, silver-brazed line repairs, nitrogen pressure tests, evacuation, and charging by scale on R-404A and R-134a systems
- Magnetic and press-fit door gaskets, door spring adjustment, and clogged evaporator-pan drains
