How the service process works

• Confirm the equipment and compressor model, serial, refrigerant, voltage, phase, frequency, capacity and connection configuration.
• Determine why the original compressor failed by checking electrical supply, contactors, controls, airflow or water flow, refrigerant charge, oil return and system cleanliness.
• Test winding resistance, insulation to ground, current draw and starting or inverter components before condemning the compressor.
• When replacement is justified, plan refrigerant handling, contamination control, filter-drier work, leak testing, evacuation and commissioning for the actual system.
