When a Traulsen refrigerator or freezer stops holding temperature, the cause can be a pressure control, the evaporator section, or the condensing unit and its wiring. The videos below come from Cyclone HVACRWD Company service calls on Traulsen equipment: a damaged Supco pressure control replaced with an adapted Ranco control, a freezer evaporator renewed with a new thermostatic expansion valve and sensing bulb, the startup check on that same freezer, and a return visit to look at earlier repairs while the equipment was running.

What we work on in Traulsen units
- Pressure-control replacement, including adapting a new Ranco control when the original Supco SF9603 model was not in stock, with capillary tube and wiring connections
- Evaporator renewal: removing the old evaporator and blower assembly, then installing a new coil, thermostatic expansion valve, sensing bulb, and copper connections
- Startup checks on the compressor, condenser fan, and wiring at the top of the cabinet; on the renewed freezer, a digital probe thermometer read 14.4°F as the cabinet cooled down
- Follow-up visits to check earlier work while the unit runs, such as a timer added during a previous repair and the tubing checked for ice
