When to request service
Signs the condensing unit needs attention
The box is warm and the condenser fan is stopped, turning weakly or vibrating
The compressor runs hot, cuts out on its overload, trips the breaker or will not start
Bubbles in the sight glass, frost on the suction line, or a unit that keeps losing refrigerant
The unit trips on high pressure, short-cycles in cold weather, or a water-cooled condenser runs water nonstop
Repair scope
What we work on
- Compressor starting circuits: start capacitors, potential relays, start boxes, contactors and burned wiring
- Compressor testing and replacement, including Secop, Embraco and Copeland units, with refrigerant recovery, nitrogen pressure test, evacuation and charge by weight
- Condenser fan motor and blade replacement, loose motor brackets, fan-cycling pressure controls and condenser coil cleaning
- Low-pressure and high-pressure controls, including Ranco and Penn replacements, and mechanical defrost timers
- Filter drier, sight glass and liquid receiver replacement, liquid-line tubing repairs, and brazing under nitrogen flow
- Leak search and repair at service valves, valve cores, flare joints and rubbed copper lines, using an electronic detector and bubble solution
- Refrigerant charge checks and corrections, weighed in on a scale or by recovering an overcharge
- Water-cooled condensing units: coaxial condenser replacement, internal leak tracing and water regulating valve diagnosis
